Vanishing midbrain mass lesion - A germinoma?

      Highlights

      • Vanishing mesencephal lesion on the cranial MRI can in rare cases be a germinoma.
      • This phenomenon is due to an extensive granulomatous inflammation with T lymphocytes.
      • Histological verification is mandatory for diagnosis and tumor specific therapy.
