EBV-NMDA double positive encephalitis in an immunocompromised patient

Published:November 02, 2018DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jns.2018.11.001

      Highlights

      • We present a case of EBV-NMDA double positive encephalitis in a post solid organ transplant immunocompromised patient.
      • EBV might be an infectious trigger for NMDA receptor encephalitis.
      • In absence of evidence for treatment we describe the results of our therapeutic approach, including the use of Rituximab.
